About this Playcare

American Park is one of the largest industrial parks in La Libertad, El Salvador’s second largest city. It’s home to nearly a dozen of the area’s biggest employers, collectively employing over 10,000 people. The majority of these employees are young women who earn an average of only $210USD ($6500NTD) every month. Although it might not seem like much, that money is needed to put food on the table for a growing family. Unfortunately that same growing family often keeps these women out of work ensuring that their young children are safe, healthy, and cared for back at home. We believe that the decision between work and caring for their children shouldn’t be one these women should have to make.

Together with American Park we built a brand new Playcare for American Park. They are investing in infrastructure and our job is to train the guides. The space has the capacity to serve 100 children with world class Montessori education. The women working at any of the companies at American Park will be able to bring their children to work with them, and they will be safe, nearby and receiving an incredible early education.
